If you’re looking for summer drinks that are colorful, fresh, and fruity and don’t want to bother with no alcohol, check out these delicious drinks. There is something for everyone.
I think summer drinks are at the top of my list of things I want in the hot summer months, and for me, I’m always on the lookout for a new summer drink that has no alcohol in it and is adult and kid-friendly. If you haven’t noticed, I’m big on recipes that can make everyone happy without making something for every individual who has the time to make an item for everyone.
Of course, these drinks are kid-friendly, but there is no reason you couldn’t put a nice splash of alcohol in there to make it an adult version. I always find there are so many lists that are full of alcohol, so I wanted to create a list for people who want to drink something other than water.

Cherry Limeade
Cherry limeade is a cold, refreshing non-alcoholic drink that is made with fresh lime juice, Sprite, and cherries and then poured over crushed ice. This drink was inspired by a Sonic drink you can get through the drive-thru there.

- Sugar Superfine sugar works best in this recipe because it helps dissolve quicker. If you don’t have any, just quickly blend some in your food processor.
- Soda you can use any lime-type soda, I like to use a lemon-lime soda, sprite, or 7 up.

Blueberry Lemonade
This blueberry lemonade is refreshing in the summer; it’s sweet and tart, and it’s made from scratch using an easy blueberry syrup.
Ingredients you will need
- Water: You will need water for simple syrup or puree and for the lemonade as well. I like to use nice clean water that is very cold so that it can be enjoyed more quickly.
- Blueberries: Fresh or frozen will work well for this recipe. Whichever you have available, I rarely have fresh blueberries available, so I generally use frozen, but either works.
- Sugar: I use granulated sugar to sweeten the syrup for this recipe.
- Lemons: Depending on how tangy you like your lemonade, you can use anywhere between 3-5 lemons.
- Ice cubes: these are for serving with your lemonade
How to make blueberry lemonade
Puree
- To make the puree, first place the blueberries, sugar, and 1 cup of water in a blender. Blend on medium-high speed for 1 minute or until the blueberries are smooth and pureed.
- Next, strain the blueberry puree through a fine sieve so that you can remove all of the skin and seeds. If you don’t mind the skins and seeds in your lemonade, you can skip this step
Syrup
To make a simple syrup, first, use a pan and bring 1 cup of water to a boil with blueberries, sugar, and lemon zest. Allow to simmer on a low heat until the sugar dissolves and the liquid thickens slightly. Strain the liquid and allow it to cool.
